Making films in my spare-time has become a bit of a trick recently due to work. Whilst not a bad problem to have it does mean my series about artisans, Made in London, has fallen by the wayside as I work to pay the bills. However, a few months ago I finally found sometime to shoot another film and as of last week it was released online.
The latest film profiles designer/maker and jeweler Ella Bull, who realised she wasn't fit for a traditional path, so she moved to London and apprenticed to become a jeweler. She now makes bespoke pieces that "evoke a reverence of British heritage and eclecticism":
This film means the series that I started work on back in 2016 now has 10 films as part of it's collection. I'd always hoped to reach a high number but as I've gotten busier the time I can spend researching and, in some cases, chasing people to be involved has diminished. As such I'm unsure how many more films will be part of the series.
But like all ways, I've always got something else planned...
