The fourth film in the Made in London series focused on cane weaver @rachael_south who comes from a long line of cane weavers. After studying design, she returned to the family business, where she finds fulfillment in both the sense of history and the potential longevity of her work.

To mark their collaboration with @cubitts back in 2019, @themodernhouse commissioned a film about founder @tombroughton and his penthouse flat at the Isokon Building, in the North West of London, which ushered in the beginnings of modernism in Britain back in the 1930s. Shot with @liamallenfilm.

LOOK BOOK - Dezeen x Moooi, Rick Tegelaar - 2018 - Sony FS5 - Filmmaker
Back in 2018 I was tasked by @dezeen with shooting profiles of designers working with the furniture company @moooiacross Europe. First up was @rick_tegelaar and his Meshmatics chandelier made from three concentric, inverted wire-mesh domes of different diameters and heights.

@abid.jav was the first maker I filmed for the 5 part "Modern Makers" series of craft films that the @themodernhouse commissioned me for in early 2021. He's a molecular biologist who hopes to tell "the storylines of biology" through his ceramic pieces, and honestly? I've never seen anything like his work, it really is something extraordinary.

Shot in between the first and second lockdowns I was contacted by F&B to produce a film about their colour consultation service. The real star of the show however is easily the @thechaletsymondsyat, prominently featured in the Netflix Show #SexEducation, which has a fantastic makeover during the consultation that really brings out the character in the various rooms.

LOOK BOOK - Made in London: Archie Proudfoot - 2017 - Sony FS5 - Filmmaker
Back in 2016 I had just gotten an expensive new camera and didn't really have the work to justify it. My plan, to prove I was worth hiring, was to create a series of profiles about crafts people in my hometown called "Made in London". Archie was the first person to agree, without much work to show him mind, and this film basically helped kickstart my career as it allowed me to find my voice.
